    Hi everyone,

I have downloaded the latest version of Peerfactsim.KOM. I am currently implementing a P2P overlay network with the purpose of storing and looking up files. I use nodes with the OECD bandwidth distribution, UPD via IPv4 packes, no packet loss and the bounded traffic queue.

Although I have no packet loss, some of the packets get dropped since the bounded queue runs out of free slots. I don’t know exactly which nodes cause this overload situations (I assume the problem is caused by my seed nodes, especially those with a low bandwidth).

I wanted to ask, if there is a way to determine the current load of a node. Can I, for instance, determine the amount of free slots the bounded traffic queue of this node has? Are there any possibilities at all given in Peerfactsim.KOM or does it require a custom solution? Being able to detect overload situations would be useful to react in some way.

By the way, of course I could switch to the unbounded traffic queue, but its something I don’t want to do at the moment.

    Any help is appreciated.
    Best regards,
    Philipp
